Discerning Rumors and Fallacies to Avoid Being Deceived

In the last days, the Lord Jesus returns to appear and work in the world as the incarnate Almighty God, and to express the truth and perform a stage of work whereby mankind is judged and purified. Many people from all denominations who sincerely believe in the Lord and yearn for His appearance have heard God’s voice and have begun to follow Almighty God. This cannot help but elicit extreme panic from the leaders of the religious world; they fear that the believers will all start believing in Almighty God and will no longer worship or follow them, and so they disseminate all kinds of rumors and fallacies to condemn God’s work of the last days, and they bind and restrict brothers and sisters from seeking and studying the true way. Many brothers and sisters are without discernment, they believe these rumors and outright lies and dare not study the true way. They would rather live floundering in darkness without the work or guidance of the Holy Spirit than go forth to seek the Holy Spirit’s new work. Here, we will fellowship about and dissect some of the rumors and fallacies spread by the religious world, so that every brother and sister who has awaited the coming of the Lord can discern them and thereby avoid being deceived by wicked servants, and not lose God’s salvation of the last days. Here below, we list and dissect some rumors and fallacies that are often heard.

What Does Christianity’s Frenzied Opposition to Christ Show?

Amongst the many Christian denominations, each has their own teachings and understanding, what their believers practice and observe are different, and they each stick to their own views and refuse to give in to each other. However, they happen to hold the same view and speak with one voice on how to treat the second incarnate Christ and God’s work of the last days. They need only hear things like “The Lord Jesus has returned to flesh,” “God has done new work,” or the phrase “the Eastern Lightning” and they will deny, condemn and renounce it without hesitation, calling God’s work of the last days heresy. They frantically oppose and obstruct God’s work, and do their utmost to seal off the churches. Particularly, they do everything possible to make things difficult for, drive away, insult and verbally abuse the brothers and sisters who preach the gospel of the last days, and even beat them up and send them to the hands of those in power. These circumstances are just like how the Pharisees opposed the Lord Jesus, even worse than then.

The last days’ gospel of Almighty God is spreading in Mainland China like rolling thunders and surging waves. It has shaken the whole religious community and has at the same time been condemned and rejected by all denominations of the religious community and persecuted by the kings of the world. Many people with ulterior motives disregard the truth. They fabricate rumors as they desire and spread slander against Almighty God to obstruct the spread of the last days’ gospel of Almighty God. Some brothers and sisters who do not know the truth think that since it is the true way it should not be persecuted. When we evangelize the gospel of the last days, we often hear people say: “We know about God’s new work of the last days that you are spreading. ‘The new’ is ‘fake’ and we do not accept it….” Here we can see: Not only do they reject God’s new work, but they also peg God’s new work as “fake.” From this we can see that people do not know God’s work at all and that they do not know the principles of God’s work, and so they make an extremely absurd mistake.

Someone said, “The scriptures state ‘for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved’ and that ‘Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.’ God’s name is immutable, and we should hold forever to the Lord Jesus’ name, but you believe in Almighty God—isn’t that betraying the Lord Jesus?”

Response: Just because the Bible states that “for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” and that “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever,” some people determine that God’s name can only be Jesus and not Almighty God, and that believing in Almighty God is betraying the Lord Jesus. This is nothing more than an absurd view, plain and simple, and it shows that these people do not know God at all. The words written in the Bible that “for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” and that “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” are not wrong, but they do not prove that God can only be called Jesus and that His name can never change.

In particular, those words that reveal how man spurns God are spoken in regards to how man is an embodiment of Satan and an enemy force against God. When God does the work of judgment, He does not simply make clear the nature of man with just a few words, but carries out revelation, dealing, and pruning over the long term.

       Almighty God says, "As of today, God will formally perfect those who have no religious notions, who are ready to set aside their old selves, and who simply obey God, and perfect those who long for the word of God. These people should stand up and serve God. In God there is endless abundance and fathomless wisdom. His amazing work and precious words are there for more people to enjoy. As it stands, these new things cannot be accepted by those with religious notions, those who assume seniority, and those who will not put their old selves aside. The Holy Spirit has no chance to perfect those people. If a person does not have the will to obey, and does not thirst for the word of God, then they will be unable to receive the new things. They will just become more and more rebellious, more and more crafty, and end up on the wrong track. In God’s work now, He will raise up more people who truly love Him and who can accept the new light. And He will completely cut down the religious officials who flaunt their seniority. He does not want a single person who resists change."
